Accra
is forever changing and with each visit I am sure you too will find
something new. Accra over the years has grown to become a vibrant
city with many international shops and attractions to help the whet
the appetites of the seasoned traveler or or novice. Among the highlights
of Accra are the National Museum, with its splendid display of exhibits
that reflect the heritage of Ghana from prehistoric times to modern
times, the National Theatre with its distinctive modern architecture,
the Centre for National Culture, Independence Square, the Kwame
Nkrumah Mausoleum, the fishing port at James Town and Makola Market.
The University of Ghana at Legon is just 14km north of Accra, and

to many international gatherings. Tema, on the other land, is a
new town some 30km from Accra, with Ghana's foremost commercial
port and our large fishing fleet. Its modern industrial zone is
one of our major commercial hubs.

located conveniently at the crossroads of the Tetteh Quarshie Interchange
and the Spintex Road which provides access for residents of Accra
and surrounding residential and commercial areas.Accra mall houses
Ghana fashion chains such as Woodin to Nike, Puma, Swatch, Sony
Centre, Panasonic, TM Lewin, ShopRite and Game Shopping outlets
plus many more. During the day enjoy shopping at one of Accra plushest
malls then at night why not venture down to Rhapsody's for some
fine cocktails and good cusine in their blinged out bar and restaurant.Or
if you fancy a why not catch a movie at the cinema. Here is where
the gliterati of Accra hang out after a hard day sunning themselves
on the beach or for those who have a day job its just a good place
to take friends and clients.
The
beaches of the Atlantic coast are popular with visitors and Ghanaians
alike. Labadi Pleasure Beach and Kokrobite Beach, just 25km west
of Accra, are particularly popular at weekends.
Further along the coast is Ada and the estuary
of the great River Volta. Here the fine beaches of the estuary and
the Atlantic coast provide popular resort areas. Watersports and
river trips make this a great place to relax, while the waters off
the coast teem with game fish
