African Women in Technology had its inaugural show in East Africa in Kenya’s capital Nairobi (#AWITKenya) This conference registered over 300 women in technology. Now AWIT is preparing for its second conference which will be held in Accra Ghana.

Like the first conference in Kenya, AWITGhana will be one of its kind event seeking to provide attendees a unique blend of hands-on and deep-dive tech workshops, information sharing, and discussions by professional women (and men) within the tech space. All aimed at encouraging and mentoring young girls to pursue STEM-based education programs and careers.
While most conferences like this focus mainly on coding. AWITGhana is going to concentrate on all aspects of technology; from the very technical aspects of it to the human experience and applicability to real-life situations. The speakers and attendees at the conference will be from many different types of jobs and seniority; from college girls to senior executives in companies.
