At View Ghana, we respect your right to privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information that we ask you to supply to us. We will use the information we collect about you to provide a better site experience.

We and our associated companies may use your personal information to inform you about the latest changes to the site and products or services that you may find of interest but if you prefer not to receive this you can tell us by sending an e-mail message to editor@viewghana.com.

What information do we ask for?
We will only collect personally identifiable information to the extent reasonably necessary to serve our legitimate business purposes, and we will maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of the information you have provided. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that third parties to whom we transfer any data will provide sufficient protection of that personal information.


How do we use the information?
When you enter a competition or other promotional feature, we will ask for your name, address and e-mail address so we can administer the competition and notify winners. We monitor customer traffic patterns and site usage to help us develop the design and layout of the site. We may use your personal information for our internal marketing and demographic studies, so we can consistently improve our site to better meet our visitors’ needs. To enforce legal rights and the law, we may also disclose information to law enforcement agencies.


Will View Ghana disclose the information it collects to outside parties?
View Ghana does not supply your personal information to others. We may choose to do so in the future with trustworthy third parties, in order that they can send you information that they think will be of interest to you but you can tell us not to by e-mailing us at editor@viewghana.com

Also, View Ghana may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, traffic patterns and related site information to reputable third-party vendors, but these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

From time to time View Ghana may employ third parties who may collect personal information on View Ghana’s behalf. In such cases, such third parties will be instructed by View Ghana to comply with the View Ghana Privacy Policy as set forth herein.


Review, correction or deletion of information from our records
If for any reason you are concerned that the personal information maintained by View Ghana is not correct, or it changes or if you no longer desire our service we will endeavour to provide a way to correct, update or remove the data you have provided us with. Cookies
View Ghana uses both two types of cookies on the website: session cookies and persistent cookies.

Session cookies are only temporary and are erased when your browser leaves a website. This cookie enables the website to remember important details such pages visited and time spent.

Persistent cookies are stored on your hard drive until you erase them or they expire. We use persistent cookies for certain areas of the site, such as when you enter a competition or if you follow a link from one of our partner sites. They allow us to track how effective our partnerships and competitions are and help us to tailor our offer to our customers.

How to disable cookies:
Here is some information on how to disable cookies in some of the most popular browsers. If you use a browser which is not featured below you should be able to access information on how to disable cookies by going to the "Help" section of that browser.

Microsoft Internet Explorer v.6 - In your browser click on "Tools" then choose "Internet options". Click on the "Privacy" tab. On the privacy tab, click on the "Advanced" button. A window will pop open where you can modify the settings that your browser uses to handle cookies. Check the box next to "Override automatic cookie handling". This will activate the options below where you can manually change the cookie handling settings.

Microsoft Internet Explorer v.5 and v.5.5 - In your browser window click on "Tools" then choose "Internet options". Click the "Security" button. A window will pop up and then you should choose "Custom level". Scroll down the list of options until you find options under the "Cookies" heading. Here you can change the settings of how your browser should handle cookies.

Netscape Navigator v.4.75 - In the browser window, click "Edit" and choose "Preferences". A window will pop open where you can modify many of the browser settings. Click on the "Advanced" option to highlight it. The advanced option screen will appear on the right where you can modify the way the browser should handle cookies.
